Patient Services Advisor

An exciting opportunity for a Patient Services Advisor (Medical Receptionist/Call Handler) has arisen to join our practice either full (37.5 hours/week ) or part-time (28.5 hours/week).

We are looking for a candidate with excellent customer service and IT skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The role includes working within our call centre as well as being the first point of contact when patients come into the practice. As well as patient facing work there are also elements of administrative work and ensuring patients are recalled for follow-up appointments.

Phlebotomist

At Churchmere Medical Group we’re passionate about care and providing safe and sustainable services to our patients.

We are a forward-thinking practice with a list size of 21,000 and have an exciting opportunity for a reliable and patient-focused Phlebotomist to join our team.

This is a permanent post and you must be willing to work both in Ellesmere and Whitchurch. You will also take a fair share of evening and Saturday morning shifts.

The core responsibilities will be:

- Obtaining patient consent for the collection of a blood sample
- Perform venepuncture in accordance with practice protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records on EMISweb
- Label vials with patient names and dates
- Organise and send specimens to the laboratory for testing
- Support with blood pressure checks and urine testing
- Keep accurate records of patient information and test results
- Follow infection control procedures at all times
- Interact with patients in a professional and compassionate manner

This position offers an excellent opportunity for a Phlebotomist to contribute to patient care with the opportunity to develop further skills.

Health Care Assistant

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Healthcare Assistant to join our busy, friendly practice. The work is varied, and the candidate should have good interpersonal skills and an ability to work under pressure.

We currently have three sites, including one in Ellesmere and two in Whitchurch. The successful candidate must be willing to work across all sites.

It's essential to have either 2 years experience as a Healthcare Assistant or hold a NVQ level 3 qualification. It would be desirable for you to have the ability to administer influenza vaccines, apply dressings, undertake ECGs and ear syringing and phlebotomy however full training can however be given for the right candidate.

This is a permanent post (either full or part-time depending on your preference) and you must be willing to work both in Ellesmere and Whitchurch. You will also take a fair share of evening and Saturday morning shifts.

The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS Check. Salary will be dependent on experience starting from £11.52/hour.
