Health Care Assistant
Job summary
Churchmere Medical Group is a forward thinking GP practice in a semi-rural location.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role. If you are passionate about providing high-quality care and making a positive impact on the lives of others, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding position as a Healthcare Assistant.
This role will include working at all practice sites in Ellesmere and Whitchurch Shropshire.
Starting hourly rate £11.52
Main duties of the job
Job Summary:
Working under the direct supervision of the Lead Practice Nurse and strictly in accordance with specific Practice guidelines and protocols, the Healthcare Assistant will assist the Practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care.
About us
You will be part of a large team made up of 7 GP Partners, 1 Managing Partner, 9 Salaried GP's, 3 Healthcare Assistants, 2 GP Assistants, 11 Practice Nurses and 1 Mental Health Practitioner.
Our non-clinical team is made up of our Management Team, Dispensary, Administration/Secretarial Team, Patient Services Advisors, Performance Team and Social Prescribing Team.
We also have a Medicines Management Team consisting of our Practice Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Prescriptions Administrators and Medicines Management Administrators.
We are a social bunch at Churchmere and we like to meet when we can, whether it be boat racing on the mere, walks or celebrations!
We have a health and wellbeing group on WhatsApp.

As a GP Assistant at Churchmere Medical Group, youre able to assist GPs with providing excellent patient care by performing routine administrative and clinical duties.
We want you to love coming to work, feeling healthy, happy and valued, you will work over our three sites in Ellesmere and Whitchurch and you will enjoy a range of roles and responsibilities during your working week.
Main duties of the job
The post holder supports the GP(s) to ensure the efficient provision of medical services and clinics by performing several more routine administrative and clinical duties. This will allow the GP(s) to utilise their own time more effectively towards greater patient focused activities.

As a Patient Services Advisor at Churchmere Medical Group, you’re able to manage, assist and direct patients in accessing the most appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
You will provide general assistance to the Practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
